Sometimes when looking for interesting things to post on the blog, I’ll go through the “Oddly Enough News”. I’m not often disappointed at what I find. Today was one of those days. I read an article from the South African Associated Press. In China spectators rioted because they thought that one of the players on a rival team didn’t meet the height requirements. There’s a special basketball league in China for players that aren’t quite so tall so that you have to be under 6ft 2in. One player seemed a little bit too tall and wouldn’t let officials measure him. Once he finally allowed it, he bent and hunched his body in certain ways so that an accurate reading couldn’t be taken. The officials decided that he met the requirements, but fans revolted and some chanted while others smashed cars. What a roaring good time that sounds!
