Literary Arts Magazine

I just read an article about a group of teens at the Johnson County Library that have created their own literary magazine called elementia. I have been dying to do something like this for years!  It wouldn’t have to be as elaborate as this one, and we could make it more like a zine.

You could put whatever you wanted (that isn’t naughty of course) in the zine. This would be all yours. Your thoughts and dreams, what kinds of things you like, poetry, your art and photography. Whatever! The skies the limit!

We could start out doing an “electronic zine” and then work up to

If you guys like this idea as much as I do, we could try and get a grant to get money for supplies: paper, a camera, a printer, ink…

Let me know what you think!

Hi! just ran across your post. We’ve been working on a little project in Howard County, MD that’s very similar to what you describe–Teen ‘Zine. You can take a look, here… http://www.hclibrary.org/teenzine
