Two new programs for March

Home Alone Safety: When I’m In Charge (Ages 7-14)
March 7 from 2-4 pm

$15 per person
Registration required

Designed to teach children who are home alone the importance of behaving responsibly.
Topics include but are not limited to first aid, what to do when a stranger comes to the door, telephone tips, Internet safety as well as how to react during a variety of misc. emergencies such as a power outages, also covered will be: who and when to call in an emergency.
Knowing when your child is ready to stay home alone is a difficult decision, but preparation can make the transition much easier for you and your child.

A course fee includes:
Student workbook
Safety Information Packet
Emergency Information Contact Sheet
House Rules Form (to be completed at home with their families)
How to call 911/Poison Control Card
Child Print ID Kit: Stores fingerprints, photo, medical and dental records, DNA, and more

Babysitter’s Training (Ages 11-16)
March 21 from 10-3 pm

$35 per person
Registration required

This course teaches roles and responsibilities of the babysitter, including skills in accident prevention and emergency recognition. Students are encouraged to bring a bagged lunch.

Fee includes Certificate of Completion
